Northern Illinois Impala Club

The NIIC was formed on March 31, 1996. The charter members include Tom Palansky, Ron Mroz, Ron Lynch, Randy Fierke, John Oudsteyn, Joe & Linda Kelley, and Tom Kawwall. Over beers at Duffy’s American Pub, everyone agreed that a need existed in the Chicago area for such a club. Each of the charter members kicked in $20 of "seed money" and bylaws were soon drafted.  As all of these founding members were also members of the National Impala Association (NIA), the NIIC became a chapter of the NIA. Within a few months, the membership roster swelled to over 30 members.  Our first car show was held at Duffy's on August 17, 1996.
